Announcing- Small Characters Fall Festival on Saturday October 24 from 10-1 pm at Small Characters! Come in costume, do some pumpkin decorating, trunk or treating (on our school bus!) and so much more! We are busy finalizing our plans. Check back for updates! But save the date and plan to attend. It is open to the public!

Small Characters Before and After School Program for Fall 2026 is open for enrollment!
We are now enrolling in our before and after school program for Fall 2026! We offer drop off and pick up at Kendrick Lakes Elementary School and Golden View Classical Academy. If you are interested, please click on the button and send us your information.

Small Characters Preschool Program (including the Universal Preschool Program for 2026-2027) is now full. We are accepting reservations for our waitlist. To be put on our waitlist, please click on the link below and send us your information. As soon as an opening occurs, we will contact you. We will begin enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year in December! Check back for updates!
Preschool
We are a play-based fun and educational preschool program. We focus on the whole child: social/emotional, cognitive and physical development. We offer flexible scheduling to meet your family’s needs starting at 2 days a week.
We are currently accepting reservations for our waitlist. Enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year will begin in December.
Before and After Care
With a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, imaginative play and physical activities, our staff will engage with your children.
We are currently enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year in our Before/After Care program at Kendrick Lakes Elementary and Golden View Classical Academy! Contact us to schedule a tour!
Summer Camp
We offer a fun action-packed summer of amazing activities, field trips and memories your children will cherish. Our staff is ready to make this an amazing experience. We will begin enrollment for Summer Camp 2027 in February 2027. Please check back for more information then!
Introducing the Intergenerational Volunteer Program!
This fall Small Characters launched its newest program- an intergenerational volunteer program. It unites retired members of our community with our preschoolers. Our volunteers spend time reading to the children, playing games and having fun with them. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the generations. This is just one of the many ways Small Characters is an integral part of the Lakewood community!
